Orit Foord, PhD - Head, Antibody Discovery

Dr. Foord has over 20 years of experience in the biotech industry providing overall strategic, scientific and technical leadership in antibody lead identification and optimization. She has lead dozens of antibody therapeutics programs into the clinic and is an inventor on over 50 drug patents. Dr. Foord served as Sr. Director of Research at Adicet Bio working toward developing an allogeneic T cell platform of engineered immune-cell therapeutics for patients with solid tumors. Prior roles include VP of Antibody Discovery at Stemcentrx, where she directed the development of antibody therapeutics through hybridoma generation and antibody engineering, including humanization and affinity maturation. Dr. Foord also led antibody discovery teams at Trellis Bioscience for the development of human antibody therapeutics using CellSpot, a technology to find rare antibodies that are identified and recovered from human blood cells. Prior to that, Dr. Foord was a Principal Scientist at Schering Plough Biopharma. Dr. Foord received her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
